Hello everyone, I used social free gallery on my website and this is what I needed. So I proceeded to purchase the full version in order to have the functions fullscreen and customizations.
Uninstalled the free plugin and installed the purchased one, I no longer have to open the image with lightbox effect.
Is possible to have the previous version of the plugin?
Someone has already happened this problem?

Hello

The PRO version should still work but there have been instances of things going wonky when going from Lite -> PRO. Please can you try the following in your settings?

1.) Choose CSS selector and then enter .gallery a:has(img) into the input box
2.) Check if you are using Social Gallery Pages, if you are - have you done a full library scan?
3.) If Social Gallery Pages isn't working - does it work with "Image URL" as the setting rather than the Social Gallery Pages

We'll get it working. The error that happens I've seen before so we are taking a look into it as it does look to be causing some issues. The PRO version does work though it just may need a bit of tinkering (which isn't ideal I know)

Social gallery mode: Page Images
Discude CSS Selector: .gallery a:has(img)

Fullscreen mode: on
Fallback URL Type: Page URL
Enable On/Off per Post/Page: off

Use Social Gallery Pages: on

Full scan: complete

I clean cookies on every test and there isn't social share enable

Ah you've put it in Disclude CSS selector, you should be having something like this:-

http://www.socialgalleryplugin.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/07/using-css-selectors-with-social-gallery-facebook-style-wordpress-lightbox.png

But put .gallery a:has(img) in the CSS selector box (not the de-selector box)

Hi - I've took another look, your images link to your attachment pages and not the media file, you'll need to amend your wordpress gallery shortcode. You need to have link="file" in the shortcode for the gallery.

But I noticed you have that on one of the galleries. I suspect a theme conflict with PRO and your theme. I'll speak to Woods and let you know. It shouldn't be the case that Lite works and PRO doesn't!

Hello

On around line 837 of the unminified javascript there's code in function getDesc that says

function getDesc(a) {
var c = jQuery(a).attr("data-desc");
var b = jQuery("img", a).attr("data-desc");
if ((b != "" && typeof b != "undefined") && (c == "" || typeof c === "undefined")) {
c = b
}
if (c === "undefined" || c === "null") {
c = ""
} else {
c = jQuery("<span>").text(c).html()
}
return c
}

This is to do with image descriptions I think, however for certain install and wordpress in post there may not be the image description available. I'll pass this onto Woody to fix properly in the next update but I've found the following seems to get it working OK if you change the below bit of code to be

function getDesc(a) {
var c = jQuery(a).attr("data-desc");
var b = jQuery("img", a).attr("data-desc");
if ((b != "" && typeof b != "undefined") && (c == "" || typeof c === "undefined")) {
c = b
}
if (c === "undefined" || c === "null") {
c = ""
} else {
c = ""
}
return c
}

This is a WORKAROUND to get the lightbox at least opening on installs that have this problem. It may be that it breaks some of the "description" features of social gallery. I'll pass this info onto Woods though.

Other things to check for

1.) is your page completed properly? (i.e. does it end </body></head>) you can right click and view source for this
2.) in your theme files, does your page finish with <?php get_footer();?> or similar?
3.) in your footer file, does it call <?php wp_footer(); ?>

All those are needed as Social Gallery PRO "hooks" into the wp_footer(); WordPress function. Some themes forget to add this but it CAN break many plugins

Hi,

I'm not sure what you mean? Oh now I do. You've turned off Social? I don't think the right hand comment area goes away as this is the key feature of Social Gallery - for users to be able to comment next to images and share them.

Good luck - I can't help any further here unfortunately as removing the comment area is not something we recommend doing (or something that we would support in doing).

Please do rate us 5* on CodeCanyon though for our EPIC support levels if you haven't done so already :)

Cheers

I have the same issue here. I tested the plugin of three different themes incl. the Twentyevleven standard. Disabled all plugins except NextGen Gallery v1.9 and Social Gallery Pro 2.2. I tested it with the general CSS Selector presets and NextGen Compatible Mode and Thumbnail mode. Also with the Custom CSS and .ngg-gallery-thumbnail a:has(img). After disabling the pro version and testing the Social Gallery lite version it worked perfectly but I would like to have the pro version that I payed for. Here is the testing page:
http://squashcenter.philippkuenstle.com/?page_id=15
I embedded the Gallery in the Gallery Post as a shortcode using: [nggallery id=2]

Any ideas? Appreciate your help.:)

Hi

It's SocialGalleryPlugin.js (in the /js folder)
